ReplyDeleteTalking about the Laconia...I was watching TV in bed one night (in Raleigh, North Carolina) and one of the stations was doing a special on the Laconia. Uncle Jack had given me a book about it and I knew Uncle Teddy had sailed on it. As I was watching I was blown away because the next thing, Uncle Teddy was being interviewed. I jumped out of bed to get Roland so he could come and see. I couldn't believe it. Our Gegs later sent me the book that was written and had Uncle Teddy sign it. It is one of my 'treasures'.
ReplyDeleteI,ve got the book " Laconia " which I will loan any of the family who wants a great read.Uncle Ted is mentioned 4-5 Times and there are a couple of good photographs of him in the book.
