Martha visited us in Hackensack, New Jersey, in 1965 when I was 10. I remember Grandma, here with Marge, raving about how she could have "gone for the pilot" if she was 40 years younger!

Martha Johnson (nee Dowling) had a large family which has grown and spread across the world. This family is now in it's fourth generation and all her descendants are invited to post family news and photos, new or old. This blog could help keep our big scattered family a little closer.
This is a lovely photo. Remember Marge coming here(Lydiate) when I was little and everyone being so excited.
ReplyDeleteI have one I will posst from her visit. I also remember the story of the pilot - how she fancied him. Amazing to think she was in her 80s when she went - a real pioneer!
