Martha - if it wasn't for her and Edward we wouldn't be here! I will always remember Grandma asking me (aged 11) to sing the latest Tom Jones so that she could work it out on the piano. What are your memories?

Martha Johnson (nee Dowling) had a large family which has grown and spread across the world. This family is now in it's fourth generation and all her descendants are invited to post family news and photos, new or old. This blog could help keep our big scattered family a little closer.
I remember someone making a tape recording(remember them !!)of Grandma playing the piano in Lydiate ? I wonder what happened to it?

ReplyDeleteYes - that left hand went up and down the piano. She would ask you to sing the latest song and would pick it out on the piano. We were always amazed at her talent.
