On behalf of The Johnson family, I would like to thank everyone for all there cards and sympathy over the sad loss of dad, thank you to Kate, Andy,Sue ,Helen, Veronica & Jen for attending dads funeral, and thank you to cousin Derek who sent over a lovely wine & cheese hamper. I hope he won't be offended if we donate it to Claire house who look after terminally ill children on the Wirral so that they can raffle it, its a charity which was close to dads heart and which he has supported over many years.
Thank you to Susan in America and Tom in France and all of Martha' s family for there kind thoughts.
Ray xx

Not offended at all Ray. Donating it to a charity your Dad loved is a wonderful idea. So sorry about the loss of your Dad. I hope to see you in Colorado one of these years or perhaps I will be visiting England in the next year or two. Best regards - Derek.
ReplyDeleteRay and family,So sad about Uncle Ted, he was a fine gentleman and uncle with an amazing past.I think I speak for all his nieces and nephews when I say that.
ReplyDeleteHis funeral and the number of friends and family there also show how well liked and respected he was.
Listening to Michelle reading about his life was so moving, I'm sure the funeral was just as he would have wanted it to be.RIP Dear Uncle Ted x
Ray - Veronica told me what an amazing funeral your dad had....and both she and Frank thoroughly enjoyed meeting all our cousins.
ReplyDeleteIt's just so very sad that Uncle Ted was the last of a wonderful generation....all our Moms and Dads!!!
Our Gegs used to speak so highly of him and actually sent me the book about the Laconia signed by your Dad to me. I will treasure it always.
Regards to you all
Susan
