Martha Johnson (nee Dowling) had a large family which has grown and spread across the world. This family is now in it's fourth generation and all her descendants are invited to post family news and photos, new or old. This blog could help keep our big scattered family a little closer.
Hi Ray, just watched this again. What an amazing story! Thank goodness Ted was one of the survivors. He is a wonderful man.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this-great to watch it again-an amazing story and an amazing uncle X
ReplyDeleteHi Ray...for some reason I cannot access your story....must be doing something wrong this end.
ReplyDeleteNo problems....saw it on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteRay - do you happen to know the names of any other ships your Dad sailed on. Also, the names of the ships Billy sailed on. Our Gegs would have known .......
And how about Granddad, Martha's husband, he went away to sea also and have no idea what ships he sailed on either.
This is another part of our history that we should keep alive...........we have a hug family, and thanks to this blog, we are all communicating, which we would never have been able to do. Thanks Kate for initiating all this.
Susan (in North Carolina....where it actually snowed on Sat....that is a rarity!! - but soon melted)
